Definition

Urban planning, affordable houses and protection of the cultural and natural heritage are important elements to be considered in the design of sustainable urban realities. Homes for One Pound, Granby Four Streets CLT, Home baked CLT, Make Liverpool CIC and Engage Liverpool CIC are examples of successful initiatives oriented to foster urban regeneration by promoting environmental quality and social cohesion.

Introduction

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have been specifically designed to address some of the main socioeconomic and environmental issues affecting developed and developing countries. Aiming to “improve people’s lives and to protect the planet for future generation,” the SDGs will be used to frame the political agenda over the next 15 years.
