Abstract
We report on a 50-year-old female patient with an acute intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) due to a ruptured flow-related aneurysm of the A3 segment of the right anterior cerebral artery (ACA) and a parietal arteriovenous malformation (AVM). Due to the shape and size of the aneurysm, treatment with a Woven EndoBridge (WEB) device was chosen to occlude the aneurysm while preserving the artery. The aneurysm was successfully obliterated in the acute stage and the AVM later treated with radiosurgery. A complete sealing of the aneurysm and the AVM with an excellent neurological outcome was achieved. The case will be discussed based on the acute-stage angiography images and the long-term follow-up. The main topic of this chapter is the treatment of very distal aneurysms with a WEB in select cases.
