Abstract

Background: Endoscopic choroid plexus coagulation (CPC) refers to a surgical treatment of hydrocephalus in which the choroid plexus is endoscopically ablated by coagulation. The evolution of the surgical technique of endoscopic CPC has a longstanding history that now spans more than one century since it was first attempted. Currently, a multitude of technical variations of the procedure exists.

Methods: Operative charts and videos of patients undergoing endoscopic choroid plexus coagulation (CPC) were retrieved from the author’s database of endoscopic procedures and reviewed.

Conclusions: The surgical technique of endoscopic CPC performed by the author is described.
