Definitions
The term climate management refers to climate change-induced business management activities to identify and quantitatively assess risks and relevant sources of GHG emissions at a company’s site and in the value chain in order to initiate measures for prevention, active reduction, and, if necessary, compensation of residual GHG emissions. Climate neutrality is achieved when anthropogenic activity causes no net effect on the climate system, which includes all radiative forcers as well as regional or local biogeophysical effects.
