Schematic representation of IAP proteins. The number of residues in each IAP as well as the functional motifs that they contain is shown. NAIP, survivin, BRUCE, ILP2, and ML-IAP are shown in this figure, but are not discussed in detail. In addition to DIAP1 and DIAP2, orthologues of survivin and BRUCE are also encoded in the genome of fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster).
