Erobots and Erobotics

Erobots refers to all artificial erotic agents, as well as their enabling technologies, and interconnected, multilayered, and multi-agent systems.

Erobotics refer to the transdisciplinary field of research which intersects human-machine interaction and sexology, and focuses on human-machine erotic interaction and coevolution, as well as their related phenomena.


Increasingly interactive, immersive, connected, and agential erotic technologies are giving rise to artificial erotic agents, or erobots, such as erotic chatbots, virtual partners, digital dating/romantic counselors, sex education tutors, and sex/love robots (Dubé & Anctil, 2020).
