Botany and Ecology
Thymus caucasicus Willd. ex Benth.
Subshrub. Stems long, rooting, terminating in a sterile shoot. Leaves petiolate, rather thin, ovate or ovate-triangular, 8–11 mm long, 5–8.5 mm wide, ciliate up to the middle, glabrous or with scattered short hairs above; lateral veins 2 or 3 pairs; venation camptodromous or pseudomarginal; glands small, numerous on the lower cauline leaves.
