Biographic Background

Paul L. Vasey was born in Toronto, Canada, on January 30, 1966. He received his B.A. (Honours) from the University of Alberta in Edmonton (1989); his M.A. from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia (1991); and his Ph.D. from the Université de Montréal in Québec (1997). He conducted postdoctoral research at the Université de Montréal and Concordia University in Montréal, and at York University in Toronto.

In 2000, Dr. Vasey accepted a tenure-track position in Psychology at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2005 and to Full Professor in 2010. In 2015, he was awarded a Board of Governors Research Chair in Culture, Organization and Society. Dr. Vasey is one of only a handful of researchers in Canada to receive simultaneous grants from all three federal funding councils (NSERC, SSHRC & CIHR). His Research has also been funded by various other agencies including: NIH, National Geographic and Sigma Xi....
