Cutaneous Inflammation: Prototypes of Immunological Mechanisms Involving the Skin

Abstract

The clinical and histopathological evaluation of cutaneous inflammatory disease provides a window into the body regarding inflammatory processes that may be occurring on a systemic level. In this chapter, cutaneous inflammatory conditions that represent prototypical examples of innate and adaptive immunological reactions have been reviewed.
