Definition
The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is defined as a healthcare application of the Internet of Things (IoT) that enables the use of connected medical devices for sensing physiological data, storing medical information and/or records, and providing healthcare services by using sensor and actuator networks and the Internet.

The IoT is a novel technology paradigm that has gained a huge interest in the field of wireless telecommunications in the last decade.
