Multidimensional wellbeing: Summarizes wellbeing as a set of different attributes of wellbeing such as education, health, living standards, longevity, etc.
Pro-poorness of growth: growth is pro-poor when it is mainly benefited to the poor.
Introduction
Since independence in 1960, chronic unstable security situation in Chad has hindered growth and poverty reduction. During the 1990s, the growth rate has dropped to 3% per year according to the National Institute of Statistic, Economic and Demographic Studies (INSEED). This low economic performance was mainly due to the recurrent political instability and inadequate levels of investments.
