Introduction

The process of rapid industrialization and globalization has its profound impact upon the socioeconomic realities of Bangladesh in the last few decades. Being moved up in the income bracket by the World Bank in the foregoing year and being classified as a country with “lower middle-income” status, the thriving economy of Bangladesh is said to be going through a metamorphosis despite being hit by political instability and natural disasters. In the age of a fast-moving market economy, this economic development is closely interconnected with the domain of technological excellence contributed through the practice and preservation of specialized knowledge created in this regard.
