Adenocarcinoma
Definition
This is a diagnosis of exclusion: an adenocarcinoma which does not belong to any other malignant epithelial salivary gland tumor type, which is not metastatic either, furthermore which does not have pleiomorphic adenoma component is called adenocarcinoma NOS.
Clinical Features
Incidence
This is regarded the 3rd or 4th most common carcinoma types in human salivary gland pathology. It makes 5–15 % of all malignant salivary gland tumors. Since the definition is by exclusion, the data concerning the incidence of this tumor are controversial and still changing.
Age
Wide age range has been published; the most frequent age range is 50–58 year.
Sex
Slight female predominance has been reported.
Site
60 % of these tumors occur in the large salivary glands (mainly parotid); the rest is in any of the small salivary glands of the oral cavity.

The treatment is like any other malignant epithelial tumor of this organ: surgery; in case the tumor is larger...
