Bolshaya Kuropatochya – a river in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), Russia. It originates within the Kolyma Lowland and flows northward through tundra among numerous lakes and into the East Siberian Sea, creating an estuary. Its length is 391 km. The basin area is 6,240 km2, nourishes from rainfall and snow, freezes in October, and remains under the ice till the beginning of June.
