Special Purpose Northeastern Expedition – organized during the Arctic navigation of 1932 for delivery of goods, about 600 Dalstroi employees and 200 prisoners under the control of the OGPU from Vladivostok to Ambarchik. The expedition was headed by experienced arctic explorer N. I. Yevgenov. The expedition consisted of five ships with a cargo of 12,000 t, which towed metal barges and boats, as well as the steam-sailing schooner “Temp.” The expedition was led by the icebreaker “Litke” (commander – Captain Nikolayev).
