Ratmanov, Georgy Yefimovich (1900–1940) – a Soviet oceanographer. He graduated from Leningrad State University in 1926. In 1932–1933, R. participated in the expedition of the Soviet zoologist and oceanographer K.M. Deryugin to study the seas of the Pacific Ocean; he conducted the first detailed studies of currents of the Bering Strait and water exchange through it. R. studied the hydrological regime of the Bering and the Chukchi Seas.
