Far Eastern Federal District of the Russian Federation – one of the seven federal districts formed in concordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation N°849 of May 13, 2000, on the territory of the Russian Federation. It is the largest district in the Russian Federation, including the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), Primorskiy Krai, Amur Oblast, Kamchatskiy Krai, Magadan Oblast, Sakhalin Oblast, Jewish Autonomous Okrug, and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. The central city is Khabarovsk.
