Abstract

This article explicates John Rawls’ theory of intergenerational justice, or “justice between generations,” from A Theory of Justice. In so doing, it includes a brief account of Rawls’ theory of global justice from The Law of Peoples in terms of his view regarding just war theory. Some examples of failures to uphold the duty of intergenerational justice are noted.
