Sex discrimination against male.
Introduction
In 2003, David Benatar published an essay on a phenomenon he called the second sexism. It received harsh criticism in proposing recognition about the existence of another sexism’s facet, but this time against males. In 2012, David Benatar’s book The Second Sexism: Discrimination Against Men and Boys was published, in which he abstracts this discussion, reinforces arguments, and presents more evidence of wrongful discrimination against males based on sex. The book exposes several situations where males are disadvantaged compared to women, such as, are more likely to military conscription, to be victims of violent crimes, to receive more frequently and intense corporal punishment, to their sexual assault be taken less seriously, to lose custody of their children in the context of divorce, and so on.
