Condition-dependent mating tactics are the differences observed on the typical expected sexual strategy affected by changes in the socioenvironmental conditions.

Introduction

Several studies indicate that males and females have different sexual strategies in our species. Evidence indicates that different behavioral patterns have arisen because of the differences observed in the investment that each of the sexes makes in caring for the offspring. However, recent studies have revealed that the mating tactics used by individuals of the same sex are not constant and that part of these intrasexual variations can be explained by specific socioenvironmental conditions.
