Introduction

Scott Browning is a licensed psychologist, professor, researcher, mentor, and a member of several professional organizations. Browning’s vast contributions to the field of family therapy include the following subject areas: the diverse and changing family, increasing and measuring empathy, children with developmental disorders, therapy outcomes, and the dynamics and treatment of stepfamilies.

Career

Browning received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in 1986, which he followed with a postdoctoral fellowship at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic. He has been a professor in the Chestnut Hill College Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program since 1988 and was chair of the Masters and Doctoral Programs from 1995 to 2001.
