Lee Combrinck-Graham, MD

Introduction

Dr. Combrinck-Graham is a child psychiatrist who was born in Boston, MA, in 1941. Throughout her career, she practiced as a psychiatrist and family therapist. During her career, she held leadership positions in institutions devoted to the treatment of children. In this capacity, she either built upon existing capacities of the institution to treat the whole family or introduced this practice into more traditional settings. She published several books and articles that advocated for the inclusion of the family in the treatment of children. Having deep roots in the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic, she worked closely with Salvador Minuchin and is recognized as a scholar and expert in Structural Family Therapy.
