Abstract
Authors describe diverse manifestations of traumatic experiences in children of different ages. A child, unlike an adult, is still in the process of developing important body structures and the implementation of complex programs of genetic differentiation. It is assumed that psychotherapeutic interventions should take into account the specificity of stress reaction in children of different ages. Cognitive–metaphorical reconstruction of traumatic experiences in drawings is described in detail. Traumatic memories of a child are reconstructed metaphorically with the help of drawing and explanation of what has been drawn. “Dobryakov and Nikolskaya” model was effectively implemented in Azerbaijan, Chechnya, and North Ossetia.
