Abstract

Cranio-vertebral junction arthropathy (CVJ) is an underrecognized source of suboccipital and neck pain, limited range of motion, and cervicogenic headaches. It can occur at the occipito-atlantal joint (OAJ), the atlanto-dental joint (ADJ), and the atlanto-axial joints (AAJ). This chapter illustrates two cases of CVJ and discusses the pertinent findings on bone SPECT/CT.
