Abstract
Foraminal stenosis can be caused by degenerative changes in the intervertebral disc or facet joint and is a common cause of spinal nerve root compression, resulting in radiating leg or arm pain. While MRI is the preferred imaging modality to assess foraminal stenosis, the CT part of the bone SPECT/CT study provides an excellent assessment of foraminal narrowing caused by bony structures such as osteophytes. In this case, a patient is presented with foraminal stenosis as a potential pitfall on bone SPECT/CT if the CT part of the study is not carefully assessed.
