Common Variants and Pitfalls: Transitional Vertebra

Abstract

This chapter describes the common anatomical variant of lumbosacral transitional vertebra. Recognizing these variants is important to avoid erroneous numbering of segments when reporting bone SPECT/CT scans of this region.
