Abstract
Epicondylitis is an inflammation of the elbow tendons. It can be classified as lateral or medial, with the former occurring more frequently. Famously termed as tennis or golfer’s elbow, depending on its location, this condition is characterized by inflammatory symptoms like pain, tenderness, and swelling in the affected elbow. This chapter describes the imaging findings of elbow epicondylitis and illustrates its appearance on bone SPECT/CT. While ultrasound and MRI remain the preferred modalities for diagnosis, due to the soft tissue involvement, bone SPECT/CT aids in diagnosis and assessing the severity of inflammation in patients with nonspecific presentation.
