Abstract
Avulsion fractures most commonly occurs in athletes due to sudden forceful muscular contraction. The avulsion fractures in hip and pelvis can occur at ischial tuberosity, anterior inferior iliac spine, anterior superior iliac spine, pubic symphysis, inferior pubic ramus, as well as greater and lesser trochanter. We describe different imaging modalities useful in detection of avulsion fracture along with role of bone SPECT/CT.
