Abstract

The principal sporting injuries may be divided into acute trauma to bone and soft tissue or chronic injury due to repetitive cyclical overloading of bone or soft tissue. Anatomy and pathophysiology of the main sites of injury are illustrated in the section below in terms of simple graphics.
