Abstract
Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) belongs to the group of conditions known as axial spondyloarthritis (SpA) and is a chronic, autoinflammatory disease predominantly affecting the axial skeleton. Bone SPECT/CT can provide a comprehensive assessment of the spine and sacroiliac joints in patients with AS, even though MRI is likely more sensitive in early stages of the disease. This chapter describes the typical findings of AS on bone SPECT/CT.
