Rape: penetration of the body without consent; sexual coercion: sexual behavior without consent; victimization history: prior sexual victimization as a risk factor for later victimization and perpetration.
Introduction
As shown by a large body of evidence and recently highlighted by movements such as #MeToo, experiencing sexual victimization has high prevalence rates across the world. Where children are concerned, sexual victimization is defined as any completed or attempted sexual act perpetrated against, any sexual contact with, or sexual exploitation, of a child (Duckworth et al., 2020). In child sexual abuse (CSA), consent is not an issue, as children are considered to lack the ability to consent freely to sexual activities.
