Adriatic Euroregion – declared on June 30, 2006, in Pula, Istria, Croatia, with the aim of transnational and interregional cooperation between the regions of the Adriatic Sea. Regional and local authorities of the Adriatic Euroregion are an institutional framework organization for jointly defining and solving important problems in the Adriatic region. The Adriatic Euroregion includes 26 members: the regions of Italy are Apulia, Molise, Abruzzo, Marche, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia-Guilia; Izola metropolitan area, Slovenia; Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Bosnia-Herzegovina; Istria, Primorye – Gorski Kotar, Lika-Senj, Zadar, Sibenik-Knin, Split-Dalmatia and Dubrovnik-Neretva, Croatia; municipalities of Kotor and Tivat, Montenegro; Fier, Vlorë, Tirana, Shkoder, Durrës, Lezhë, Albania counties; Prefectures of Thesprotia and Corfu, Greece.
