Blaustein, Leopold (1905–1942 [?]). Blaustein was a Polish-Jewish philosopher, esthetician, psychologist, schoolteacher, and educationalist. He was educated in Lvov (Lwów, Lviv), where he probably started studying in 1923, but he also held fellowships in Freiburg im Breisgau (in 1925) and in Berlin (in 1927/28). Blaustein is regarded as a member of the Lvov–Warsaw School (e.g., Woleński 1989, pp. 13, 352; Płotka 2020a), but his philosophy bore the mark of different philosophical traditions, primarily including descriptive psychology, but also phenomenology, Gestalt theory, and humanistic psychology. His teachers at Jan Kazimierz University in Lvov included Kazimierz Twardowski (1866–1938), Kazimierz Ajdukiewicz (1890–1963), and Roman Ingarden (1893–1970). In Freiburg im Breisgau, he participated in the lectures and seminars of Edmund Husserl (1859–1938), and in Berlin he took part in the classes of Gestaltists (e.g., Carl Stumpf [1848–1936], Max Wertheimer [1880–1943], Wolfgang Köhler...
