Abstract
This chapter describes relevant information on vanilla (Vanilla planifolia) including the plant description, flowering, and phytochemistry of green pods and leaves. The harvesting and post-harvesting processes are also described along with the cultivation methods. The chapter closes by looking at fungal and viral diseases of vanilla plants.
