Exchange Method:

Way to delineate names from network members, focusing on exchanges of resources and joint activities

Name Generators:

Multiplexity:

More than one layer in a relationship, for example, being a brother and friend or working and spending leisure time together

Similarity:

Degree to which two network members share the same attributes

Transitivity:

Among three network members, transitivity is given when A is related to B and B to C, A is also related to C, in the domain of their relationship

Ego-Centered Network:

A network where a focal actor is in the center of the analysis. In ego-centered data collection information on the alters is collected not directly but via ego
