Definition
The matrix comprises of 20 rows whereby each row corresponds to a unique amino acid symbol and each column corresponds to the position in the peptide sequence. The weight of a given amino acid at a certain position of the sequence is given by the log function ratio of the observed incidence of a given amino acid against the background incidence.
