Introduction
Increasing the usage and accessibility of information is widely recognized as a key requirement: before, during, and post natural hazard events, and with an increasing global population and encroachment into hazardous areas there is a greater emphasis on reducing the risks generated, of which the Internet is well placed to be involved in as a tool in this process.
