Ash Flow Tuff

Ash flow tuff refers to an ignimbrite with a pyroclastic particle size less than 1.2 mm. This type of rock is widely distributed in acidic volcanic rock areas, such as Yellowstone National Park, the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes and Mt. St. Helens in the United States and the Mesozoic volcanic areas in eastern China.
