These forms must be completed to assess the management and qualifications of the geoparks by the Global Geopark Bureau. They include Form A and Form B. Form A comprises six major parts: regional geological and geomorphology, geoconservation, natural and cultural heritage protection, operation and management, interpretation and environmental education, geotourism and sustainable regional and local development. A total of 254 items are assessed, and the total score is based on the weighted percentage; the maximum score is 100. Form B is the assessment of a geopark’s progress and also includes six parts: contributions to the network, management structure and financial status, geoconservation and protection strategy, strategic partnerships, marketing and promotion activities after acquiring global geopark status and sustainable economic development.
