Popularising geoscience is one of the most important functions of a geopark. This zone within the geopark is usually located near an important geological heritage area with a concentration of interesting geological features. It normally includes a geological museum, science popularisation corridor or hall, multi-media displays, interactive presentations and activity rooms.
