This includes mining areas with tourism value such as metal and non-metal mines, coal and oil shale mines, oil and natural gas fields, and brine and geothermal extraction areas. Mines are important geological tourism resources. For example, Australia built a 26-ha park and gold mining museum, which have become a tourism hotspot. Through 2010, China had established 62 national mining parks, which have become a system of mines and mining geotourism sites.
