This plan is focused on protecting important geological heritage and protection zones based on their scientific value and vulnerability to damage. The plan is devised for the effective control and monitoring of protection areas. Different areas with different values and degrees of vulnerability can be classified as special (S), primary (I), secondary (II) and tertiary (III) protection zones. The shapes of these protection zones can be described as point, linear and layered shapes. Special protection zones (S) prohibit the entry of visitors. Primary protection zones have strict limits and controls on the numbers of visitors and cars. Secondary (II) and tertiary (III) zones are open to controlled numbers of visitors with some tourist facilities. No exploration, mining, hotels, rehabilitation centres and resorts are permitted in these geological heritage protection zones.
