This geopark is located in Fusong County, Jilin Province. The geopark has an area of 175 km2, and it became a national geopark in 2011. It is a uniquely comprehensive geopark because it contains multiple landform units, such as volcanoes, mineral springs, hot springs, and karst. The scattered cinder cones, mostly ice-free mineral springs, rich hot spring resources, unique karst landscapes, peripheral scenic sites, and the volcanic landforms and landscapes of Changbai Mountain add radiance and beauty to one another. As home to a variety of geological features, diverse landforms and landscapes, beautiful natural scenery, long history and profound culture, the geopark is a natural museum for disseminating geological knowledge and a laboratory for ecological and environmental protection.
