Fuding Mount Taimushan National Geopark, Fujian

This geopark is located on the waterfront of Fuding City, Fujian Province, and it integrates the mountains, oceans, rivers, islands, lakes and waterfalls. It covers an area of 61 km2. It was approved by the Ministry of Land and Resources as the third national geological park in March 2004. The main landscapes include granite peaks and stone egg formations composed of 100-million-year-old granite, more than 100 granite caves formed by tectonics, water erosion and gravity collapse, sea erosion landscapes and coastal beaches. There are also holiday resorts and grasslands for visitors in Daqishan Island, Tianchi and Wanmu.
