The main objective of environmental science is to study the natural environment, and it is one of the supporting theories of tourism earth science. It is a discipline that studies the composition of the environment, the relationship between environmental quality and human survival, the impact of human activities on the environment, and the strategies and measures taken to ensure the coordinated development of environmental quality and human survival. It includes environmental geology, environmental biology, environmental chemistry, environmental physics, environmental medicine and other branches of science. Seeking and enjoying a new environment are the main factors of people’s willingness to travel. As focuses of tourism, natural and cultural landscapes are specific environments that require knowledge of environment science for evaluation of their merits and demerits, usages and improvements.
