Environmental geography is the study of the human-environmental system in a region, including its formation, development, composition, structure, interaction with environmental factors and geographic processes, regulations and controls as well as the associated transformations and utilization. The subject has the characteristics of both applied and conventional science. It is an interdisciplinary discipline between geography and environmental science. Regionality is a unique feature that distinguishes it from other branches of environmental science.
