Environmental ecology is the study of human disturbances to ecosystem processes, the internal mechanisms of change, the evolutionary processes, and the effects on humans. Its main research areas include the mechanisms and processes of the changes of ecosystems under human disturbances, determining the degree of damage to ecosystems, the functions and protection measures of various types of ecosystems, and the ecological solutions to environmental problems. It provides methods for the restoration, reconstruction and protection of damaged ecosystems.
