This park is located in central Huma County, Heilongjiang Province, and it covers an area of 1,068 km2. It became a national mining park in 2010. It mainly includes the placer gold mining heritage in the Hanjiayuan and Xinglong gold mines. The regional geology and metallogenic models of the Huma gold deposit are world-class examples of alluvial river valley placer gold deposits. The large tailings dumps are rare and well preserved. The museum displays several types of well-preserved placer gold mining features from all historic periods and from a large area.
