In Europe, scientists mainly take the Alpine movement as the crustal movement that occurred in the Mesozoic and Cenozoic Eras. However, there are different interpretations of its duration. Chinese scientists call the Permian crustal movement in China the Indosinian movement, the Jurassic-Cretaceous crustal movement the Yanshanian movement, and the Cenozoic crustal movement the Himalayan movement.
