Convention tourism is a form of tourism that focuses on attending conferences. It has one of the following three features: (1) the meeting is an attraction for a large group of tourists; (2) the convention is a medium for touring, and its participants come for travel and leisure as well as communicating, exchanging and solving problems; and (3) the convention is a part of the business of tourism companies that undertake the planning, receptions and other services after the meeting. Convention tourism is an important product of tourism operators.
